In a significant stride toward championing the growth of the coffee, cacao, and coconut industries in the Philippines, the inaugural National Coffee, Cacao, and Coconut (COCANUT) Congress 2023 were recently held at the Iloilo Convention Center from November 8 to 10 themed “Coffee, Cacao, and Coconut: Thriving and Innovating through Changing Climates”.

               The three-day event served as a crucial platform that brought together farmers, industry experts, and stakeholders, providing a dynamic platform for dialogue, networking, and the exploration of innovative solutions within the coffee, cacao, and coconut sectors. Mr. Gerald Glenn F. Panganiban, Director of National High Value Crops Development Program, Department of Agriculture, showcased a comprehensive strategy for agro-enterprise development with the Coconut-based Coffee and/or Cacao Enterprise Development Project (C3EDP).
