CAMALIG, ALBAY-The Department of Agriculture Bicol through High Value Crops Development programs distributed almost four million worth of various agricultural inputs and supplies under the 4th tranche of Quick Response Fund (QRF) to the Province of Albay on July 14, 2022, at the Albay Provincial Agriculture Office, this municipality.

The High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) distributed the assistance under the 4th tranche of QRF to the Provincial LGU of Albay and 19 Municipal LGUs. These consisted of set of agricultural equipment-petrol driven brush cutter, portable sprayer with 30m hose and nozzle and mist blower. Over P120, 000.00 worth of assorted vegetable seeds and budded calamansi seedlings were also given. Furthermore, the five associations under the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2) namely; Albay Pili and Cacao Industry Association, Tumpa Farmers Association, Amtic Integrated Farmers Association, Polangui Federation of High Value Crops Inc. and Camote Creations Farmers and Entrepreneurs Multi-Purpose Cooperative also received the same set of equipment.

OIC-Provincial Agriculturist Rosalinda B. Belodo expressed her gratitude to DA Bicol saying “Salamat po sa DA nin huli ta yaon po ang full support kang Department of Agriculture, para sa probinsya kang Albay sa ikakarahay kang mga para-uma asin para sira”. Said interventions will help Albay to continue the rehabilitation of its agricultural sector after the three consecutive typhoons-Quinta, Rolly and Ulysses hit Bicol Region in 2020.
