In partnership with the Department of Education Regional Office No. 2 (DepEd RO2), the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. 2 (DA-RFO2) conducted the Technical Briefing and Orientation for the Gulayan sa Paaralan Project (GPP) on May 27, 2022 at the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Nueva Vizcaya, Quezon Street, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

Herlo P. Atole, Research and Development Manager of Allied Botanical Corporation, had a discussion about Lowland Vegetable Production Package of Technology where he explained the proper care and maintenance from land preparation to harvesting.

Meanwhile, Carol P. Albay, Senior Agriculturist and Regional HVCDP Focal Person, discussed about the Cagayan Industry Situationer and the different HVCDP projects.

As a beneficiary of the project, SDO Nueva Vizcaya received 225 pieces blow molding watering sprinkler, 75 pieces net garden shade, 750 pieces seedling trays, 225 pieces grab hoe, 75 units wheel barrow and 382 packs vegetable seeds (9-in-1), amounting to Php 932,098.50, which are to be distributed to 382 public elementary and secondary schools.

During the program, Dr. Orlando Vicente, Education Program Supervisor of SDO Nueva Vizcaya, welcomed the guests and participants of the said activity.

Arsenio M. Apostol Jr., Nueva Vizcaya Experiment Station Manager, also gave a message acknowledging DepEd for their continuous support to the project.

In Albay’s message, she thanked the SDO Nueva Vizcaya and all the teachers for attending the said activity and also for their continuous support to the project.

Arlene Herrera, Project Development Officer I and GPP Focal Person of SDO Nueva Vizcaya, presented their programs and projects relative to the implementation of GPP.
