The Department of Agriculture – High Value Crops Development Program [DA-HVCDP] turned over a newly constructed [1] unit Multi-Commodity Processing Facility building with equipments to First Tarlac Mango Stakeholders Association Inc. in Capas, Tarlac.
In behalf of BPI, NUPAP and HVCDP Director Gerald Glenn Panganiban , the Bureau of Plant Industry for Regulatory Services, Assistant Director Ruel C. Resmundo, High Value Crops Development Program RFO III Focal Person Engr. AB P. David and yours truly turned over the Php1,391,999.98 worth facility to the [FTMSAI] led by its Chairman Ferdinand B. Hilario.
The building, with approximately floor area of 80 square meters, is equipped with slicer machine and pulverizing machine. It will also serve as an office to farmers where they can also market their products. The facility located at #102, Brgy. Cristo Rey, Capas, Tarlac. It will also benefit over 40 members from the towns of Capas, San Jose, Sta. Ignacia, Mayontoc, Gerona, Pura, Ramos and Moncada. This program aims to optimize the use of modern technologies for processing that will increase the farmers income.
Assistant Director Resmundo said the facility is a proof that the DARFO III – High Value Crops Development Program is doing something for the mango growers. He appealed to the farmers not to loose hope, continue farming and support the DA High Value Crops Development Program and put their trust in the leadership of Secretary / President Bongbong Marcos because PBBM is sincere in solving the problems of agriculture sector, food security and alleviating the lives of our farmers.
The turn-over ceremony was attended by Provincial Governor of Tarlac Reprentative – Michelle Baino, Capas Municipal Mayor – Hon Roselle B. Rodriguez and DA-APCO Tarlac – Ricky Manguerra.
