Last September 6, 2024, the Department of Agriculture-High Value Crops Development Program (DA-HVCDP) successfully held a benchmarking activity in Talisay, Batangas.
The objective was to study and learn from established farmers’ designs and protocols for seedling production, specifically for coffee and cacao. The activity featured three key nurseries: Berdies Plant Nursery of Limneo Buno Popoys Nursery of Sonny Magsino Eures Nursery of Nelson Caraan Each nursery showcased its own innovative methods for producing high-quality seedlings, sharing valuable insights with participants to help enhance production practices in the region.
Through this initiative, DA-HVCDP aims to improve nursery management techniques, boosting the productivity and quality of coffee and cacao seedlings in the country.
