𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗩. 𝗗𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻, Chairperson of Kalasag Multipurpose Cooperative from Central Luzon, has been recognized as the High Value Crops Awardee for the year 2024. As a dedicated onion farmer, he achieves a significant annual yield average of 21 MT/ha. He is a pioneer in collective marketing and has extended into value-adding activities, creating employment opportunities for women. Under his leadership, Kalasag Multipurpose Cooperative became one of the first cooperative in the Philippines accredited for Good Agricultural Practices.

Since 2009, the cooperative has been delivering yellow onions to Jollibee Food Corporation, reaching a total of 6,256 MT.

Mr. Dizon’s leadership and innovative practices have significantly contributed to the agricultural sector, particularly in promoting high value crops and sustainable farming practices in the Philippines.
