In the exigency to advocate the improvement of services and programs of the high-value crops sector in the region, the High-Value Crops Development Program – Program Management Office (HVCDP-PMO) team together with the DA-Caraga High-Value Crops Development Program (DA-HVCDP) held a coordination meeting.
The meeting aims to have an extensive review of FY 2023 Physical and Financial Target utilization and implementation. As of August 31, 2023, the region has a total of 90% annual obligation and 51% total annual disbursement and are aiming for 75% at the end of the 3rd quarter.
Several interventions that are under-accomplished were raised and addressed for possible actions and recommendations including the catch-up plans to elevate the performance of the program.
It was also recommended to the info section to have a waiver signed by farmers whom they feature for the documentation of success stories of HVCDP in compliance with the Data Privacy Act.
In addition, the team also presented the FY 2024 Physical and Financial proposals for deliberations.
Budget for maintenance of DA Stations will be lodged in the regular fund of the region as instructed by the central office, but still need to be monitored by the program for the accomplishment. List of commodities that need to have mother trees and other plans were requested to all stations for consolidation.
HVCDP region submitted FY 2024 budget pre-identified list of beneficiaries of AMEFS and INS to RAED for their guidance in the validation and preparation of DED and POW.
Present in the meeting is the Regional Technical Director for operation, Rebecca Atega where she indicated the sharing vision of what the High Value Program is trying to attain: the sustainability, model cluster, poverty alleviation and food security. She also emphasized the cooperation, collaborative, convergence.
